Hello,
My name is Gwin Jarriel, Pastor of the
Quitman Church of God. My wife, Barbara, and I, along with our
two sons Brannon and Lance, have had the privilege of serving this
church and community for the past year. I’m convinced that
I am on a mandate from God for this appointed time and place, and
I’m very excited about what God is going to do in our
community.
I want to share with you the urgency of the
mission of our church. I am convinced that signs of the times,
such as wars, earthquakes, floods, diseases, etc., point to the very
soon return of Jesus to catch away the church. My earnest prayer
and concern for Quitman and surrounding areas is that we rescue our
families, friends and even our enemies from a real place called
Hell. I believe there should be no discrimination or barriers
that keep different races and cultures from worshiping and serving the
same God. I welcome in our church all people. I want to
reach all people, young and old, rich or poor, no matter where you come
from. I desire that every person have a personal encounter with
their Creator and see how wonderful HE is. I believe God desires
for us to be a church that is excited about God and enjoys serving Him.
I invite you to come worship with us, and if it be
God’s will for your life to get involved in our mission, we would
receive you with open arms. It would be a privilege to serve our
Lord together.
The follow is a list of the areas that we are developing or pursuing in the near
future:
· A new facility that will allow us to have a day care, youth &
children’s activities, and plenty of room to grow.
· An outreach bus ministry and food pantry.
· A dynamic Music Ministry including choir, praise team and
band.
· Children’s choir
· Hispanic ministry
· Discipleship training
We are growing and that means there are always new
opportunities ahead. It is our prayer that we can help you find
your divine purpose and destiny--there is a place of ministry for you
here with us. Come visit with us and check us out—God has
great things ahead!
